Compare the InFizz CO2 Canisters (2-pack) and the Exchange Box for your Breville soda maker. Learn which refill option cuts costs and hassle.
Quick answer
If you want the lowest per-cylinder cost and doorstep delivery, choose the InFizz CO2 Canisters (2-pack) with the CO₂ Refill Club. If you prefer a one-time purchase for occasional swaps without a subscription, the InFizz Exchange Box is the simpler entry point.
Why the refill method matters for your sparkling water habit
The biggest ongoing expense for any soda maker is CO2. Breville offers two ways to keep your InFizz machine running: the InFizz CO2 Gas Canisters (2-pack) sold through the CO₂ Refill Club, and the InFizz Exchange Box designed for one-off cylinder swaps. The choice affects both your wallet and your routine.
Cost per refill: subscription vs one-time purchase
The InFizz CO2 Canisters (2-pack) is priced at USD 37.17 (compared to USD 59.95 retail) when you join the CO₂ Refill Club. That's a significant per-cylinder saving. The Exchange Box costs USD 0.57 (compared to USD 0.95), but this is a one-time accessory purchase for the swap process itself—it does not include CO2 cylinders. The actual refill cost for the Exchange Box depends on the cylinder replacement service you use, which is not specified in the available facts.
Convenience and availability trade-offs
The CO₂ Refill Club delivers 100% renewable CO2 gas to your doorstep on demand, so you never run out. However, it is only available in the contiguous United States (excluding Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico). The Exchange Box is a practical accessory that keeps your carbonation setup organized, but it does not include a delivery service—you still need to source and swap cylinders yourself.
Trade-offs at a glance
- InFizz CO2 Canisters (2-pack) via Refill Club: Buy two canisters at a reduced price (USD 37.17 vs USD 59.95) with automatic doorstep delivery of 100% renewable CO2. Requires a subscription and is only available in the contiguous US. Best for frequent sparkling water drinkers who want the lowest per-cylinder cost and never want to hunt for refills.
- InFizz Exchange Box: A one-time purchase (USD 0.57 vs USD 0.95) that organizes cylinder swaps. Does not include CO2 or a delivery service; you source and exchange cylinders yourself. Suitable for occasional users who already have a local refill source and prefer not to commit to a subscription.
- Cost comparison note: The canisters pack saves roughly 38% off the retail price per cylinder when subscribed. The Exchange Box saves on the accessory itself but its total cost depends on your local cylinder exchange pricing.
